Domestic. Joakim Lamotte is chasing prosecutor Kristina Åberg, who chose not to seek deportation for two gang-rapists – but to no avail. He states himself that there seems to be no reason for the men to stay in Sweden.

Fria Tider reported on Friday about the case of the four young men convicted of a serious gang rape of an underage girl in a forest area in Frölunda.

The two older of the convicts, who are of legal age, lack Swedish citizenship. Despite that, they are allowed to stay in Sweden because the prosecutor has not requested deportation.

– What I can state is that in order to request deportation, certain prerequisites for this need to be met. I cannot go into more detail about the reasons because they concern their personal circumstances, Kristina Åberg told Göteborgs-Posten after the verdict.

Since then, however, Kristina Åberg has made herself unavailable, which journalist Joakim Lamotte now also notes.

“I try to get hold of her but she doesn't call. It's Friday and she doesn't answer emails either. Looking at her Linkedin that she previously worked as an administrator at the Migration Agency. Today, after the weekend, I get the message that she has taken a vacation for two days. It was timely,” he writes on his blog.

Lamotte writes after reading the verdict and the personal investigations of the correctional service that he could find no reason at all why the men would avoid deportation, and that he would have liked to ask the prosecutor about this.
