Foreign. A whopping 92 percent of those convicted of rape in Catalonia are foreigners – despite immigrants making up 17 percent of the total population of the Spanish region, reports La Razon.

A new report from the Catalan Ministry of Justice shows that a significant percentage of those convicted of rape and sexual assault in Catalonia come from outside.
According to the latest statistics, 64.2 percent of the 324 people imprisoned for these crimes are foreigners, despite the fact that immigrants make up only 17 percent of the region's total population.
As for the crime of rape, the percentage is 91.67 percent.
Of of these prisoners, 69.14 percent have been convicted and are serving their sentences, while 30.86 percent are in custody awaiting trial.
Overall, Catalonia has 8,505 inmates of which just over half, 50.48 percent, are immigrants .
