After Donald Trump was declared the winner in the US presidential election, the Sweden Democrats' party leader comments Jimmie Åkesson now the result on social media.
According to Åkesson, the fact that the election was able to be carried out in such a calm manner is a “message of strength from the West” and “a victory for democracy”.

Åkesson also underlines the importance of strong cooperation between Sweden, Europe and the US to face common security threats such as Russia, China, Iran and North Korea.< /p>
Finally, Jimmie Åkesson has a greeting for Trump regarding the major wars going on in the world:

Donald Trump has previously promised to end the war in Ukraine as soon as he is elected, while SD instead wants the war to continue. On the other hand, Trump has shown a support for Israel that can be considered extremely strong even by American politicians' standards.
