The exclusion was motivated by the Left Party with the fact that Kristofer Lundberg had openly expressed support for the terrorist-classified Palestinian organization PFLP and that there had been cooperation difficulties between him and the party.

Lundberg's new party has its foundation in the United Front for Palestine, an organization that actively supported Palestinian interests during the ongoing conflict in Gaza. The goal is to unite left-wing forces, the environmental movement, the women's movement and the peace movement.

– We want to work for a left-wing front, a red electoral alternative before the 2026 election, says Kristofer Lundberg to Aftonbladet.

One of the most prominent positions for the new party is support for a one-state solution to the Israel/Palestine conflict, a position that Lundberg believes has great support within the Left Party but is silenced by the leadership. He describes the current leadership as “a completely new kind of regime within the Left Party” that affirms the need for a “democratic left”.

Lundberg also stands firm in his support for the PFLP and believes that Israel committed genocide and ethnic cleansing since its founding. He believes that his socialist values make him sympathize with the Palestinian left, and he sees the PFLP as an important element in this resistance.

– There is extensive criticism of the Left Party from the environmental movement, from the peace movement that does not push for NATO withdrawal, to downplay criticism of the EU, Lundberg tells Aftonbladet.

The party will be officially launched at a later date in connection with a conference, according to Kristofer Lundberg.
