Media. It is now clear that Anne Lagercrantz, who is currently vice president at SVT, will become the company's new CEO. She succeeds Hanna Stjärne and takes office on 1 November. She will be the fifth woman in the position, which has only been held by women since the turn of the millennium.

Anne Lagercrantz has previously been, among other things, head of TV4 Nyheterna, head of the Ekoredaktionen at Sveriges Radio and head of SVT's entire news and sports operations.
– SVT is all of Sweden's television with a special position with the audience both in terms of trust and usage. Therefore, the very best media manager must lead the company. Anne Lagercrantz has the exceptional qualifications required. She has the ability to see overall changes in the media landscape and to be sensitive to the audience's new media habits while being a courageous journalistic leader. In addition, she is an enthusiastic manager with exceptionally good communication skills. I am very satisfied that Anne Lagercrantz is now taking on the role of CEO of SVT, says Christina Björklund, SVT's board chairman, in a press release.
Anne Lagercrantz is today deputy CEO with overall responsibility for AI at SVT, security and preparedness, digital service development, analysis and data and planning. She is also chairman of the industry organization Utgivarna and vice chairman of the Constructive Institute at Århus University.
– SVT must be a constructive and safe force at the heart of Swedish everyday life. It is a great and solemn task. SVT must be available for everyone. It will be my role and that of the employees to together ensure that SVT continues to earn the audience's time and trust. It is with humility and joy that I take on the role of CEO of SVT, which is the best job I can imagine, says Anne Lagercrantz.
Anne Lagercrantz takes office on November 1.
After the turn of the millennium, the position of CEO at SVT has been held by women: Maria Curman (2000-2001), Christina Jutterström (2001-2006), Eva Hamilton (2006-2014) and then Hanna Stjärne (2015-2024).
