Domestic. Immigrants who have received Swedish citizenship should lose it again if they do not adapt to Swedish society. That's what Denice Westerberg, new leader of the Sweden Democrats' youth association Ungsvenskarna writes.

Denice Westerberg states in a debate article in Expressen that the steps the Tidö parties have taken so far are ” far from sufficient”.

“Now it is time to take even more far-reaching measures. It is not enough to just tighten the rules for granting new citizenships. We must also have the option of revoking citizenships for those who do not respect Sweden's laws and values”, she writes.

A positive step is that the Tidö parties are already working to enable the revocation of citizenship that has been granted on incorrect grounds, states Denice Westerberg.

“This should also be extended to apply to those who do not meet the requirements for language learning or active participation in working life.”

For refugees who vacation in their home countries, she does not have much to spare.

“Those who in addition, returning to their home countries for vacation, despite claiming to have fled war or persecution, shall immediately forfeit their citizenships. If a country is safe enough for vacation, it is also safe enough for return,” writes Denice Westerberg.
