EU. The Left Party and the Sweden Democrats were the only Swedish parties that supported the proposal to halve the salaries of members of the European Parliament.

An EU parliamentarian serves in the current situation is around 10,300 euros in basic salary per month. But if you count the additions from the EU, the politicians can draw a monthly salary of around SEK 400,000.
When the parliament voted on a proposal to halve the salary, all Swedish parties voted no – except the Left Party and the Sweden Democrats.
– It is completely unreasonable that elected officials should have a salary that is several times greater than the salary of ordinary workers, says V's EU parliamentarian Hanna Gedin to Aftonbladet.
