Domestic. Government investigator Stefan Strömberg proposes that the Ecocrime Authority be dismantled and that the staff be transferred to the police, according to information in Dagens Industri.

The investigation, which will presented in February, also proposes that the prosecutors be transferred to the Public Prosecutor's Office in order to make operations more cost-effective.
The trade union Saco has been informed of the plans, and the union's eco-auditor Henrik Lundin expresses concern about a staff exodus. He points out that the authority already has difficulty retaining qualified employees such as investigators, accountants and analysts, and many may look for other jobs instead of transferring to the police.
