– We see an increasingly strong cooperation between Russia and regimes such as North Korea. It is no longer just about arms deliveries, but also about sending people from North Korea to the occupying forces, says Zelensky.

The Ukrainian president emphasizes the importance of increased support from the West, as the Ukrainian forces are both numerically and materially inferior along the front lines in eastern Ukraine. He warns that a lack of support risks leading to an even bigger conflict.

Earlier in October, South Korea's defense minister also accused North Korea of having soldiers in Ukraine. He stated that six North Korean officers were killed in Donetsk during a Ukrainian missile attack on October 3, a claim first reported in Ukrainian media.

Although these allegations still lack concrete evidence, relations between Moscow and Pyongyang have deepened during year, with several military delegations and a defense pact between the two countries.
