The Church of Sweden held a unique trans conference for young people

Domestic. This weekend, the Church of Sweden held Transblessing for the fourth year – which is described as “the world's only digital, international conference for Christian trans people under 35”.

This year the conference consisted of four sessions with different themes, spread over two days.

Oliver Jähnke, project manager for Transblessing, was full of anticipation for this year's conference.

– During the four conferences that we have now arranged, we have seen how important and life-changing it is to meet young Christian trans people from different countries. We are always in the minority, whatever room we enter, so being able to arrange and participate in Transblessing, where we are the norm, can have incredibly positive consequences in our lives, he said in a press release before the conference.

< p>Transblessing is planned and implemented with the support of Västerås Diocese. Other organizations that are behind the arrangement are the Church of Sweden at the national level, SENSUS, the Swedish Church's Youth and the national association EKHO- Christian rainbow movement.
