TwittraShare< p>When SD on Friday suddenly withdrew its proposal against gang crime, among other things within political parties, Jomshof explained that the reason was that they were given the opportunity to get their proposal on special legislation for gang criminals into ongoing negotiations with the government.
The package, which contained 43 measures to combat gang crime, was submitted on October 4 and included, among other things, proposals for life sentences for murderers from the age of 15, preventive locking and curfews for gang criminals.
At the same time, criticism began to appear in the media , where some claimed that the decision was due to the high-profile presence of a gang-connected person at party leader Jimmie Åkesson's wedding.
However, SD dismissed this and emphasized that there was no connection to the media attention surrounding Åkesson's wedding.
Aftonbladet later published information from an anonymous source within the Ministry of Justice, who claimed that there are no ongoing negotiations with SD about the gang package.
This made Jomshof react sharply and come out with the information that it was the government which actually forced SD to withdraw the motion, but that he could not give more details because of the Tidö Agreement. we must keep a “good tone”, I choose not to say more. But I can state that it is not the first time it has happened,” writes Jomshof on X.
