On Monday, June 17, a deceased man was found in the Fyrisån in Uppsala at the height of Studenternas drottsplats.

The man, who is estimated to be in his 40s, has still not been identified and as the police cannot rule out that crime is behind the man's death, the case is being investigated as murder, alternatively manslaughter.

The police have secured DNA and fingerprints from the man, but searches in both national and international registers have so far yielded no results.

In order to move forward with the investigation, the police are therefore issuing a description and a picture of the man's clothes, which were completely devoid of personal belongings such as wallet, telephone and jewellery.

Signal:

Normal build

Mustache and beard

It has not yet been determined when and how the man died.
