Foreign. Hamas announces that its leader in Lebanon, Fateh Sherif Abu el-Amin, has been killed in an Israeli airstrike. BBC News reports.

According to Hamas, several members of his family were also killed in the attack, which is said to have taken place on his home in the Al-Bass camp near the city of Tire in southern Lebanon.
Lebanon's state news agency, the National News Agency, also reported an airstrike on the same refugee camp.
Hamas, which is mainly based in Gaza, has also a presence in Lebanon. Both Hamas and Hezbollah receive support and funding from Iran.
