Among the representatives of these companies are people who have been suspected of serious gang-related crimes — and in one of the residences the police have found narcotics, ammunition and protective vests.

Despite the fact that the police sounded the alarm a month ago that a number of HVB homes are run by network criminals, these homes still have their permits and they are still accepting placed children.

An employee within a municipality describes the situation as unsustainable and believes that the control of the activities is deficient.

— In our exercise of authority, we receive care for children who are in bad shape. But have very limited opportunities to control the businesses that are supposed to take care of them themselves, the employee, who wishes to remain anonymous, told SVT.

Social Services Minister Camilla Waltersson Grönvall (M) has previously said that the HVB homes in question should be closed, but no concrete action has yet been taken.
