The statement came during a campaign event in North Carolina following claims that Iran is plotting to assassinate Trump.
— If I were president, I would tell the threatening country — in this case Iran — that if you hurt this person, we will blow your biggest cities and the whole country to pieces, said Donald Trump.
During the election meeting he also thanked both Democrats and Republicans in Congress for supporting new legislation to strengthen his bodyguard protections. The law is expected to be signed by President Biden shortly.
Trump also referred to the two assassination attempts against him earlier this year, and speculated about Iran's possible involvement — although he admitted he «doesn't really know» how to that matter.
Donald Trump has repeatedly promised during the election campaign to do everything for Israel if he is elected. This after he received a donation of 100 million dollars from the Israeli-American extremist and billionaire Miriam Adelson. At the same time, Trump has also presented himself as a peace candidate.
