Domestic. In the middle of the ongoing crisis with gang crime and a lack of resources in the country's courts, the Judicial Agency in Jönköping has chosen to prioritize another issue: safety and inclusion from a gender perspective.

Through so-called gender walks, the so-called gender equality of the work environment is now evaluated, Samnytt reports.
The initiative is part of a broader «development program for gender equality integration in authorities».
— The bottom line is that everyone should feel included and safe in the premises. Therefore, we do the gender walk to discover aspects where the employees risk not feeling included or safe and find out what we can do about it, explains Alexander Pavlica, HR specialist and one of the initiators of the gender walks.
The gender walks have received a positive response, including from employees at Uddevalla district court, who have carried out similar initiatives in the past. The project has been under development since 2018 and has previously been noticed by the then Minister for Gender Equality Åsa Regnér (S), who then lamented that there was a «numbing male dominance» in the history of the courts.
How much the investment costs the taxpayers has not yet appeared, writes Samnytt.
