During the current demonstration, a tumult arose between Lundberg and the journalist Joakim Lamotte, who wanted to interview the V politician.

Lamotte accused Lundberg of assault and theft of his mobile phone and bag, while Lundberg claimed that Lamotte attacked him.

Both reported each other to the police, but the criminal charges against Lamotte have been dropped. However, Kristofer Lundberg is still being investigated for crimes.

At the same time, Lundberg has also received criticism for having expressed support for the group PFLP (People's Front for the Liberation of Palestine), which is classified as a terrorist by the EU and the US.

The Left Party in Gothenburg has now decided that Lundberg will take a break from his duties for a few months.

– We have agreed that it is necessary for him to take a break, says Håkan Eriksson, chairman of The Left Party in Gothenburg, to GP.
