– I have modeled for the artist and think he captured my subtlety in a very good way, Reinfeldt said in connection with the unveiling on Tuesday.

He says he is “enormously proud”.

The bust, created by the artist Peter Linde and cast by Herman Bergman Konstgjuteri AB, is part of the Riksdag's tradition of honor prime ministers who have been in office for at least eight years.

Speaker of the Riksdag Andreas Norlén emphasized the importance of paying attention to former prime ministers through works of art and hoped that both members of the Riksdag and visitors take time to reflect on the busts and what they represent.

On social media, the former prime minister was praised by M tops in connection with the unveiling. Among other things by member of parliament Lars Beckman, who writes on X that Reinfeldt “was of great benefit to Sweden”.
