“Robert Aschberg is currently running the issue of threats and hatred against journalists, but is totally blind to the violence from the left and the hatred he himself spreads. I want to debate that with him now on Wednesday,” writes Lamotte on his website.

Aschberg – as among other things, it runs the far-left private intelligence service Acta Publica (formerly Piscatus) – was one of many left-wing journalists who last week signed an “appeal” in Dagens Nyheter.

In the article, the left-wing profiles claimed to be exposed to “hate and threats”, among other things in the form of insults from disgruntled media consumers.

Joakim Lamotte wants to take the debate on “hate and threats” with Robert Aschberg during a meeting of the Publicist Club on Wednesday – a club of which Aschberg is president.

“Last week I was asked to participate in a debate organized by the Publicistklubben. The topic was hatred and threats against journalists. The fact that I would be asked the question was not liked by everyone, but now it happened and the debate will be organized on Wednesday in Gothenburg,” writes Lamotte.

He notes, however, that the person he would most like to debate against – Aschberg himself – does not is set up as panel detailer.

Lamotte writes that several years ago Aschberg refused to participate in a live debate with him about his humiliation and hanging program Trolljägarna.

“Then he did not dare to ask up. Now I am invited to a panel in the association where he sits as chairman. Moreover, in a subject that seems to be close to his heart. Thus, this time he should not back down to take the debate? And I know he's been asked. So what do you say Robert Aschberg? Are you coming to the debate on Wednesday, or are you going to stay away like last time?” writes Joakim Lamotte.
