According to the district court, the woman has only charged for the ingredients and made no profit from the business, which was a hobby.

The municipality still forbade her to sell buns until she registered the business, and imposed a fine on her SEK 130,000, which she could not pay, however.

The district court's decision states that the fine has not been paid and should therefore be turned into a prison sentence of one and a half months, something that the woman's lawyer is critical of.

– Conversion of fine should be aimed at people who are unwilling to pay and not at a pensioner who likes to bake and post on Facebook. My client wants to do the right thing for herself, but she has limited financial means to do so, says the woman's defense lawyer Frida Larsson to TV4.

The woman states that baking is her great interest and that she only occasionally got paid for the ingredients in the baked goods.
