According to the company Feelgood, which is behind the report, younger people often take sick leave for reasons other than illness.
– It could be that you have been up all night playing or doing broke up with their partner, something that the older generation wouldn't think you'd be home from work for, says Charlotte Valleskog, chief psychologist at Feelgood to SVT.
Today's young people are much more picky about going to work than what older Swedes were when they were young.
For example, the number of young people who report sick six times or more in a year has almost doubled since 2010, when the 80s were young.
According to labor law expert Tommy Iseskog, however, the same rules apply to today's young people as they have always done.
