The EU countries are asked to “immediately lift restrictions on the use of weapons systems from the West” and to deliver the Swedish-German Taurus robot, which would enable Ukraine to use long-range weapons to attack, for example, the Russian capital Moscow.

425 members voted for, 131 voted against and 63 abstained, reports Politico.

On Thursday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will meet with outgoing US President Joe Biden to discuss the issue.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, for his part, has declared that he considers such the use of weapons as a direct Western interference in the war, and that it would mean that Russia is at war with the EU countries and NATO, that is, what is popularly called World War III.
