Domestic. SD leader Jimmie Åkesson demands that the Social Democrats' party secretary Tobias Baudin resign after the scandals that have been revealed around S's controversial lottery sale.

” It's impossible to get away with letting bullies carry out the highly dubious task of seeking out the elderly and demented in order to trick them into signing up for lotteries,” writes Åkesson on X.

Baudin himself has said that the responsibility for the lottery business rests on him.

“This won't last. The Social Democrats' party secretary Tobias Baudin must resign and the cards must be put on the table. Every day we are met with new, extremely troubling, information about misconduct, fraudulent behavior and pure criminality, connected to the Social Democrats' gambling activities,” writes Åkesson further.

The SD leader also believes that the Social Democrats must repay money to people who have been duped into long subscriptions despite promises to the contrary.

“How many economically vulnerable people are stuck in this gambling business today? How many million kroner have the Social Democrats duped in total? Will they cancel all lottery purchases and pay the money back?” wonders Åkesson.
