Domestic. Families traveling to countries that the Foreign Ministry advises against, such as Lebanon, should be able to be punished for violating a new travel ban. That is what the so-called Liberals propose.

Criminalizing traveling from Sweden is a very pressing issue, according to Joar Forsell.
< p>– We know today that there are Swedes who take their children to places where there is a travel advisory and then you risk the lives of these children and we must actually be able to ban that, says Joar Forssell, the Liberals' foreign policy spokesperson, to Ekot.
Forsell faces prison or a fine.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises against travel if the security situation in a country is deemed to be very dangerous or unpredictable. It is a recommendation and not a prohibition.
