“Yesterday, I and the political board in Region Skåne agreed that I will leave my position as chief of staff and budget manager with immediate effect. The reason is that there is a lack of mutual trust,” writes Heberlein on Facebook and continues:
“For a long time, I have felt increasingly uncomfortable with the Moderates' politics: I dislike the so-called duty of information, the gender reassignment law is a disaster, I don't believe in the return migration support, the environmental and climate policy is non-existent, there is a lack of ideas for healthcare and schools and the cooperation with SD is becoming increasingly difficult to swallow”.
Ann Heberlein started as a committee member in Lund's city council and as political secretary for Staffanstorp's municipal councilor Christian Sonesson (M) before she started working in Region Skåne as head of office for the Moderates in 2019.
