— Most of them went to foreigners from Syria, Eritrea, Afghanistan and Somalia. And we know that at group level, these are the ones who have the hardest time integrating in Sweden, said Åkesson.

Åkesson then asked the Prime Minister if he could consider slowing down the distribution of citizenship until its new stricter rules are on place. But Kristersson didn't want that.

— We have the laws we have until we change them, he says.

According to Kristersson, new laws are on the way that will make the requirements to get citizenship is increasing. Until then, the Swedish Migration Agency must apply better controls to avoid that those who should not be granted citizenship under current legislation are mistakenly granted citizenship, according to Kristersson.
