Domestic. The government and the Sweden Democrats want to spend several billions on the justice system next year. At the same time, it is proposed that new police officers have their student loans paid by the state, the government announced at a press conference.

According to the Tidö parties, the police agency is to be allocated close to 1.4 billion kroner, the Correctional Service 888 million, Sweden's courts 289 million and the Security Police (Säpo) 95 million kroner.
The purpose of the investment is to increase safety in society and streamline the work of the judiciary.
Minister of Justice Gunnar Strömmer (M) talks about the importance of continuing to spend tax money on meeting the growing social problems, which according to many are entirely due to the continued very generous immigration policy.
Part of the budget will go to expand detention facilities within the Correctional Service and strengthen security in the courts. The police authority's budget must also be used to increase the number of police officers and establish a financial intelligence center in collaboration with banks to counter the criminal economy.
In order to attract more people to police training, the Tidö parties propose that student loans for new police officers be repaid or written off .
The judiciary's costs are estimated to increase from SEK 78.7 billion this year to SEK 86.7 billion next year, with an «ambition» to reach 100 tax billion in 2027. This means almost a doubling of costs since 2021.
