The Sweden Democrats will govern Uddevalla from 2022 together with the Moderates, the Christian Democrats and the local Uddevalla Party. What the municipality has done, however, is not to force Muslims to eat pork, but to always serve a vegetarian and a meat dish every day.
Instead of offering Muslims a special diet, which is notified in advance and prepared especially for those who have allergies etc., Muslims are now referred to vegetarian food on the days when pork is a meat dish.
— There are always people who do not want to eat the food, some do not like fish. But special diets are for those who have an allergy, says municipal board chairman Martin Pettersson (SD).
