Attacks between Hezbollah and Israel

Foreign. Lebanon's health ministry says at least three people have been killed and two others injured in Israel's attack on Sunday. Hezbollah has responded with attacks on Israel and the Tel Aviv airport has been closed overnight as a result of the exchange.

The IDF reported early Sunday morning that they had discovered preparations by Hezbollah to attack Israel and that Israeli warplanes were “proactively” attacking targets in Lebanon to eliminate threats.

The Israeli military further said that Hezbollah had prepared to fire thousands of rockets and drones at Israel, including central Israel.

Lebanese news reported Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon, including in Tayr Harfa, Deir Seryan and Beit Yahoun, and the New York Times reported that Lebanon's state media described the attack as “the most violent” since the war in Gaza began.

Lebanon's health ministry reported that three people were killed in the attack.

The Israel Airports Authority announced that flight activity at Ben Gurion Airport would be suspended due to the security situation. At seven o'clock on Sunday morning, the airport reopened.

Hezbollah announced that the launches against the north of Israel were part of the response to the Israeli attack on Beirut that killed its top commander, Fuad Shukar.

IDF estimates that Hezbollah aimed to hit military intelligence facilities and Mossad bases in central Israel.

The IDF reported that it intercepted most of the rockets Hezbollah fired at Israel.

A woman was slightly injured in Acre and evacuated for medical treatment.

A rocket hit a house in Manot in northern Israel. No one was injured. A rocket also hit a hen house in the community and started a fire.

The Israeli negotiating delegation to try to reach a ceasefire and hostage agreement, led by Mossad chief David Barnea, will leave for Egypt on Sunday as planned, despite the security situation in the north.

Hezbollah announced that the attack against Israel that it planned to carry out on Sunday has ended.
