Muf's chairman, Douglas Thor, argues that a segregation minister is necessary to give the issue the political focus it deserves.
– It is an area that does not receive enough attention and political focus today, he tells Expressen.
According to Thor, such a minister should primarily work to “raise work morale” in so-called vulnerable areas as well as “direct tax reductions towards residents and businesses in these areas”. The MUF leader believes that this is important to counteract the growing segregation in society.
The demand comes ahead of the autumn's government reshuffle, which will take place due to EU Minister Jessika Roswall (M) becoming Sweden's new EU Commissioner .
