MP now receives 6.1 percent of voter support, which is the party's highest rating in six years in a Verian survey.
< p>Despite the fact that the figure is far from the EU election result of 13.85 percent, it means an important rise.
According to Per Söderpalm, head of opinion at Verian, the rise for the Green Party began already in April when Amanda Lind took over as spokesperson . The trend has since been upward, which now results in the highest rating since autumn 2018.
Despite the Green Party's successes, the overall balance of power between the opposition and the government base is not significantly affected. The rise of MP is at the expense of the Social Democrats, according to Söderpalm.
At the same time, the survey shows that the Christian Democrats have once again fallen under the parliamentary blockade, after temporarily increasing their support in connection with the EU elections. KD now gets 3.6 percent, which is a statistically guaranteed decline compared to the June survey.
The stable opinion during the summer is partly explained by the fact that domestic politics received unusually little attention in the media, which created a “vacuum” after the EU – the election movement and Almedalen, according to Söderpalm.
Together, the opposition, consisting of S, C, MP and V, collects 51.7 percent of voter support, while the government base M, KD, L and SD get 46.4 percent . The remaining 1.9 percent of voters indicate that they would vote for a party other than the current parliamentary parties.
