Walked the dog – beaten up by gangs

Foreign. The police are appealing for help from the public after a man was gang-assaulted at a park in Umeå.

The assault took place at Vänortsparken in central Umeå on Wednesday, July 31, sometime between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. in the evening.

During a walk near the park, at the tunnel mouth in the direction of the Church Bridge, a man with a dog was beaten and kicked to the ground by one or several unknown people.

“This happened after there was a brief exchange of words between the man and a group of people in Vänortsparken”, the police write.

The incident was reported to the police at a later stage and it is unclear who the perpetrators are.
