13-year-old man shot in open street

Domestic. A 13-year-old boy is suspected of having tried to kill a 25-year-old man during a shooting in central Malmö on Sunday.

The shooting occurred at Möllevången, where many people are usually in motion.

The police were alerted to the incident at 6:18 p.m., and on at the scene they found the shot man who is now being treated for serious but stable injuries.

According to information to Sydsvenskan, the 13-year-old boy was arrested shortly after the incident by a motorbike police officer near the crime scene. At the time of the arrest, the boy is said to have had a loaded gun on him.

Because the boy is not of legal age, he has been taken into the care of social authorities instead of being held in custody.
