The Member of Parliament also apologized for a comment about a halal restaurant and about Parliament's cleaners that has only now come to attention.

Another post, which was replying to the account 'BaronessWrenthorpe', the politician wrote:

“The Baroness of Wrenthorpe texted me from Walthamstow to say she was at a Pakistani-Chinese Halal BBQ. Hope she's not suggesting we meet there !”.

Elsewhere, the Labor politician tweeted the following:

On Thursday, Edwards wrote in a statement:

“I have recently became aware of a small number of tweets I posted on Twitter over a decade ago, which I now deeply regret.”
