Foreign. A recent opinion poll shows that roughly one in three citizens in Great Britain support the ongoing anti-immigration demonstrations. One in eight also openly say the linked violent riots are justified, reports the Daily Mail – which describes the survey as a “shock survey”.

According to the survey from Yougov supports 34 percent of the demonstrations polled, while a narrow majority (54 percent) oppose them.
Reform UK voters show the strongest support for the peaceful protests (81 percent), while support is significantly lower among Labor and Liberal Democrat voters (18–19 per cent). Among Tory voters, support is split (43 percent support the demonstrations and 48 percent oppose them).
Two-thirds single out immigration
At the same time, 82 percent of Britons state that they violent riots are not justified – while 12 percent openly state that the riots are justified. A total of 4 percent answer “fully justified”. Among Reform UK's voters, one in three says the riots are justified.
Six out of ten Britons (58 percent) have at least some sympathy for those taking part in the peaceful protests. When it comes to responsibility for the riots, nine out of ten Britons believe that the rioters themselves are responsible, while 86 percent see social media as a driving factor behind the tensions. Seven out of ten Britons believe that the mainstream media is responsible for what is happening.
As many as 67 percent place the responsibility on “the immigration policy of recent years”.
