The minister's black building razed to the ground

Law & Right. At the beginning of July, an order came from Borlänge municipality to Minister of Civil Defense Carl-Oskar Bohlin (M): Remove your newly built sundeck from the shore of the Dalälven river or be subject to legal action. Now the minister has reluctantly razed his illegal building to the ground.

Bohlin claims in Aftonbladet that he considered that his building – a sundeck near a regular jetty that built without a dispensation application – was allowed.

But the municipality thought otherwise and after the demolition decision, the minister has sent pictures to the municipality that show that the entire deck is level with the ground. The boat jetty in the water itself remains, however.

Thus the minister avoids legal action due to the black construction.

“After action has been taken, the Environment and Community Planning Board assesses that there are no violations of the Environmental Code or Planning and Building Act. This concludes the case without further intervention.” writes the municipality in the latest decision.
