Domestic. Ulf Kristersson (M) continues with his “new tradition” of covering the Prime Minister's official residence Sagerska Palatset with pride flags during Pride Week.

Prime Minister Kristersson – who is strongly committed to gay issues on a personal level – told me a year ago about his decision.

– In 2014, a representative of mine started a tradition of going to the Pride Parade as prime minister. Fredrik Reinfeldt's participation then was historic. Today it is a matter of course. Now we are starting a new tradition, continues Ulf Kristersson, the Prime Minister said in a statement.

Now the LGBTQ ornament has once again been put up on the Sagerska palatset – something that is attracting criticism.

“The pride flag hoisted at Sagerska huset. Embarrassing. The only flag that should ever be hoisted at the prime minister's residence is the Swedish one,” writes Dexter Krokstedt, who sits on the youth union's board, in a post on X.

A Catholic user also laments Ulf Kristersson's behavior:

“The worst thing is that the Sager family was a deeply religious Catholic family. They gave the house to the Catholic Diocese. And our Catholic Diocese is historically notorious for having made useless and completely backward housing deals. So they eventually sold the Sager house for a pittance. And now you are spitting on the Sager family by hanging political flags on their house.”
