The threat was made during a party meeting where Erdogan compared the situation with Turkey's previous military actions in Nagorno-Karabakh and Libya.
– Just as we marched into Karabakh and Libya, we will do so in Israel, he said.
The play comes in connection with the fact that it appears increasingly likely that Israel will invade southern Lebanon.
Erdogan also highlighted the progress made by Turkey's defense industry and emphasized the importance of Turkey becoming even stronger, according to Bild.< /p>
Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz quickly responded to Erdogan's statement, threateningly reminding leaders of the region who oppose the Israelis:
“Erdogan is following in the footsteps of Saddam Hussein and threatens to attack Israel. He should remember what happened there and how it ended,” writes Katz on X.
Saddam Hussein, the former leader of Iraq, was executed in barbaric ways in 2005. The US government invaded the country in 2003 under the influence of an ideology called “neoconservatism” which really had nothing to do with conservatism but only meant that the US would start a war against Israel's enemies in the Middle East.
