The left-wing activist Yoko Ono is described by Ringo Starr as extremely “intrusive” and “toxic” and is said to have destroyed the previously good cohesion within the band.
He thus confirms earlier information from Paul McCartney who said precisely that the woman put too much effort into trying to control The Beatles.
She was ever-present and eventually made it completely impossible to continue working together within the band, as she put herself in just about everything the four band members did together , even the actual composing and writing of the lyrics.
At the same time, John Lennon was totally engrossed in the incomprehensible Japanese alternative and experimental musician and did just about everything his girlfriend wanted.
The couple also dabbled in a very extensive drug use and Starr now tells the Daily Beast that John Lennon also dealt with heroin during his relationship with the Japanese girlfriend, who is today a well-known leftist profile.
In April 1970, The Beatles split up after the other the band members had finally given up all attempts to collaborate any longer.
Ten years later, John Lennon was murdered in an open street in New York. But by then the band had long since been destroyed by Yoko Ono, if Ringo Starr is to be believed.
