Kamala Harris: I'm going to win against Trump

Foreign. US Vice President Kamala Harris confirms that she will accept the Democratic nomination for presidential candidate.

The announcement comes after Joe Biden's historic announcement on Sunday that he is dropping out of the presidential race.

He announced shortly after this that he is endorsing his deeply unpopular Vice President Kamala Harris as his successor.

“My very first decision as the party's nominee in 2020 was to choose Kamala Harris as my VP. And it's been the best decision I've ever made. Today I want to offer my full support for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year – it's time to come together and beat Trump . Now we do,” he wrote.

Kamala Harris – who is now supported as a presidential candidate by heavy Democrats – confirms that she is ready to take over.

“I am honored of having the president's support and my intention is to earn and receive this nomination,” she writes and continues:

She further states that she will do “everything in her power” to “unite the Democratic the party and our nation – to defeat Donald Trump and his extreme Project 2025 agenda”.

Republicans simultaneously demand that Joe Biden resign as president already, instead of sitting out the term as himself intends to do.
