The Swedish Migration Agency stole a sandwich at Arlanda – employee may be fired

Domestic. An official at the Migration Agency risks prosecution and losing his job after stealing a sandwich at Arlanda airport north of Stockholm.

According to SVT's discovery other employees at the agency that the man stole the sandwich and asked him to pay for it – something the official refused, however.

Managers at the agency were made aware of the incident and the Migration Agency's internal investigator now wants the agency's personnel responsibility committee to press charges against the incident.

Furthermore, the investigators believe that the incident is very damaging to trust in the authority and should lead to dismissal for the sandwich thief in the event of a conviction, SVT reports.

The complicating factor is that the employee appeared in uniform.
