Domestic. Berry entrepreneur Johan Breitholtz and his Thai female companion are sentenced for human exploitation to 2.5 years in prison and a seven-year business ban after deceiving nine berry pickers from Thailand that they would receive regular Swedish wages – which was not true.

When the berry pickers arrived in Sweden, only one payment awaited per liter of berries picked, and they were forced to work long hours to even afford to pay the debts for the trip to Sweden .
After two months of work, they received between 18 and 28 percent of the contractual salary they were promised, writes the blogger Petterssons, who also looked up a picture of Johan Breitholtz.
The entrepreneurs earned SEK 4,441,717 for breaching the agreement and that profit is now forfeited by the state.
The nine duped berry pickers also receive damages for violation of SEK 80,000 as well as compensation for non-payment of wages of between SEK 106,000 and SEK 123,000.< /p>
The chairman of the Lycksele district court disagreed and wanted to acquit the two carrier operators, due to a lack of evidence.
