The Danish People's Party announced on Saturday that it is joining the group, which also has members such as the Austrian FPÖ and the Dutch PVV.

The right-wing nationalist group, called the Patriots of Europe, promises to usher in “a new era that will transform European politics”.

Now Orbán is awaiting a decision on whether the French National Assembly will join the Patriots of Europe after Sunday's choice. In that case, the group will be the third largest in the EU Parliament.
