Valve shares updated list of most played games on Steam Deck

Valve shared an updated list of the most played games on the Steam Deck on Thursday. The list is updated daily and shows which games are currently the most popular on his handheld.

The list now shows the prices of the games, daily ranking changes and whether a game is suitable for the Steam Deck. Valve explains that the data for the daily list comes from statistics from the past week. For example, if the list was published on June 27, the data comes from the time window of June 21 to June 27.

The ranking of the list is not only based on the number of players per game, but also on how much the game is played by each individual Steam Deck owner, Valve developer Lawrence Yang told The Verge.

“The metric we use to determine which games are played the most is a combination of the number of unique users and interest. Hades 2 has only been out for a month, but so many Steam Deck players have it as one of their most played games of the entire year that it has been included in the rankings,” says Yang.

On the at the time of writing, the top three consist of the RPG Elden Ring, the farming simulator Stardew Valley and the card game Balatro.
