Ubisoft wants to release several remakes of older Assassin's Creed games in the coming years. The French developer and publisher has not yet said exactly which game it concerns and when the remakes should be released.
Ceo Yves Guillemot says in an interview published by Ubisoft that players 'are very interested in remakes of certain games '. “There are worlds in our older Assassin's Creed games that are still well put together,” says the CEO.
Guillemot says that Ubisoft can 'modernize the older games' with the remakes. The CEO does not explain how this will happen. In recent years, the developer has been investing in AI. The company demonstrated its NEO NPC project at the Game Developers Conference in March. Under that project, Ubisoft is working on NPCs that can talk to players in real time with generative AI.
A new Assassin's Creed game will be released this year, called Assassin's Creed Shadows. This is set in feudal Japan and has two characters. The game will be released on November 15 for the PS5, Xbox Series
