In most industries Swedish companies pay significantly more to the state in the form of employer contributions than companies in all other EU countries, according to a survey carried out by the Confederation of Small Businesses, which believes that this is unreasonable from a competitive point of view in a common market.
Depending on how to calculate, what is included and which countries to compare with, it is in the order of 100 to 200 billion extra that the Swedish companies pay.
Reducing the Swedish employer contribution would, according to the Small Businesses, in addition to creating a fairer competitive ability for export companies in Sweden that sell on the European market, strengthen the companies' finances, stimulate increased entrepreneurship and create new jobs.
