Google is working on options for multiple voices Gemini

Google appears to be working on more voice options in the Android version for AI assistant Gemini. Now only one vote is possible. The voices are called Ruby and River, according to a beta of the Google app.

River is a calm German voice and Ruby is a warm English voice, Android Authority writes based on a teardown of the apk of Google app 15.24.28.29. The option is called 'Voice Selection', with a description that makes it clear that users can choose the voice in which the Google app should read things out loud.

The voices do not yet work, the site writes. The Google Assistant has had options for different voices for some time, but this is not yet available in Gemini. It is unknown when the feature would be included in the stable version. There is usually a few weeks to months between a beta and a release.
