X wants to make livestreaming a paid Premium feature

Social media platform The function will 'soon' only be available to Premium subscribers.

“Soon only Premium subscribers will be able to livestream on X,” the social media platform writes on the @live account. This also applies to users who go live from an encoder with X integration, the site emphasizes. This is possible, for example, with streaming software Streamlabs. It's not clear when exactly this feature will be put behind a paywall. It is also unclear what the reason behind this is.

There are three Premium subscriptions, of which the cheapest, Basic, costs three euros per month. The regular Premium subscription costs eight euros per month. X does not indicate whether the option to livestream will be available for every subscription formula.
