Media Player Classic – Home Cinema 2.3.1

In July 2017, version 1.7.13 of Media Player Classic – Home Cinema was released and the developers indicated that they would further would no longer release new versions. However, the source code is open source and a developer known as clsid at the Doom9 website, who was himself involved with mpc-hc for a long time, now occasionally releases new, 'unofficial' versions. These mainly contain minor improvements and the latest versions of the LAV Filters and MediaInfo are always included. Version 2.3.1 has been released and the changelog for this release can be found below.

Changes/additions/improvements:

• When closing filter graph takes too long, for example due to a deadlock situation in a filter, a prompt is now shown to ask you if you want to terminate the player process or wait longer.

Fixes:

• A non-responding player instance will now no longer block opening a new instance (when re-use same instance option is enabled).
• Fixed issue where /fullscreen command line parameter did not work in combination with FullScreenSeparateControls option.
• Fixed issue that caused DVB subs to be unavailable.
• A few other small fixes.
