SVT's “Uppdrag granskning” already reported in 2014 that Kadry El Naggar's company Swedish Connections bought up housing in Sweden and resold them to customers in the Middle East with promises of permanent residence permits.

According to SVT, Kadry El Naggar still conducts this business via the company Sweden for investment, which markets the homes to other Arabs on social media.

< p>In the marketing, he claims that you can get a Swedish residence permit if you show a bank account with 20,000 dollars, a Swedish company and a property.

“Steps for Swedish citizenship as an investor”, reads the introduction to the ads.

– Merely owning a property or having a company is not enough to get a residence permit, says Anette Bäcklund, section manager at the Swedish Migration Agency, to SVT.

Together there are 53 foreign owners of Kadry El Naggar's properties, according to SVT's mapping. The owners reside in countries such as Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Palestine. 37 trading companies can be linked to the owners.

Kadry El Naggar, however, denies that he promised a residence permit.

– I buy old houses and sell them on. I do not sell permanent residence permits. It is clear if you look at our pages, he says.

SVT: “You are implying that you can get a residence permit?”

– Never. If you look at our pages, it says: We have no responsibility at all.
